Born on this day in 1950, Glenn M. Hughes was the original "Biker" character in the Village People from 1977 to 1996.

Hughes was working as a toll collector when he responded to an advertisement by band creator Jacques Morali seeking "macho" singers and dancers. As a real-life biker (Hughes kept his motorcycle parked inside his house!) it
