It's October 1992 in our next 20 20 Retro Countdown..

the week when 3 years of pool games wrapped up with the Rugby League World Cup final being played between Australia and Great Britain.... Steve Renouf scored the only try of the game in his international debut, to set up a 10-6 victory to the Aussies...

 

 

Meanwhile, there was plenty of controversy surrounding these two characters...  one was banned because they didn't have an obvious gender and confused kids... the other one released a "revealing" book...

 

   

 

And the number 1 from this week in 1992 became the first country song to sell a million copies since "Islands In The Stream" by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton... and it made this dance craze a worldwide sensation...
