Happy Birthday My Sharona

Doug Fieger was 25 when he met 17-year-old Sharona Alperin. They fell in love instantly ("...it was like getting hit in the head with a baseball bat..." - Fieger) and dated for four years. The relationship sparked a feverish period of song-writing for Fieger, including penning My Sharona in just 15 minutes!

Two years later, on 23 June 1979, Fieger
