2 July: Sweet Sour turns 30

In 1984 the ABC produced Sweet and Sour, a TV series tracking the fame and fortune of fictional band The Takeways on their journey from backyard band to breaking into the Sydney music scene.

The first episode of Sweet and Sour went to air on 2 July, 1984.
