Pat Wilson was a journalist with Aussie pop music newspaper Go-Set in the 60s and 70s, writing under the name Cool Mum when she met and married Ross Wilson, of Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock fame.

In 1983 ross wrote Bop Girl for Pat and it reached #2 on the Australian charts, and gently edged into the US BUIllboard chart, peaking at #104.
